Bowel Cancer is the UK’s second biggest cause of cancer death.
Someone is diagnosed every 12 minutes.
Yet when it’s detected early, more than 9 in 10 people survive.
Which means awareness isn’t just important - it changes outcomes.
It saves lives.
April marks Bowel Cancer Awareness Month, and the start of our #CheckYourPoo Challenge. Which is where you become involved, and we need you more than ever.
We want people to start asking one simple question:
“Have you checked your poo today?”
But what are you actually looking for? Fair question. It’s the part people feel least sure about - so we’re here to make it simple.
Here are the symptoms to look out for. And remember, it’s still unlikely to be bowel cancer - but knowing what to check could make all the difference.

To make things even easier, we’ve created a downloadable tracker you can save and keep handy as a gentle reminder.
Don't be alarmed. Be informed.
